Nate Finnerty, a native of Aurora, Colorado, discovered his love for math and physics early in life, which led him to pursue a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. After graduating, Nate began his career designing mechanical systems with 3D Solidworks before moving to a small firm in Fort Collins where he specialized in HVAC and plumbing engineering.
By 2020, Nate became a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado, marking a key milestone in his career. That same year, he joined Proficient Engineering, with the ambition to establish and grow the firm’s presence in Denver. Nate balances his technical expertise with his passion for the construction industry, aiming to make a lasting impact in the engineering world.
Outside of work, Nate enjoys an active lifestyle, whether in the mountains or on the court. Weekends are filled with sports like basketball, golf, and skiing, and he loves spending time outdoors with his trusty Labrador. Colorado’s natural beauty is his playground, where he feels most at home.
Proficient Engineering featured projects: RidgeGate Parkway Affordable Senior Living, Lone Tree, CO, Academy on Mapleton, Boulder, CO (senior living), Southeast Arkansas College, AR (student center and dorms).
