I enjoy time running in the woods and reading science fiction. I have completed several ultramarathons, including one 100 miler. Also enjoy hanging out with my two kids, ages 11 and 7. Currently my spotify playlist includes Wicked soundtrack, Taylor Swift and The Descendents. It is currently a work in progress to get them to enjoy System of a Down, Phish, Pink Floyd, Tool, or King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

There is a strong engineering background in Darren’s family as his grandfather, father and brother were all engineers. At a young age he was intrigued by electricity which was fostered by an electrical circuit play set.

This hobby and a fondness for math were some of the reasons that led him to pursue a major in electrical engineering at Georgia Tech.

Darren has been a part of the PEI team for over five years. One of his favorite things about his job is the people that he gets to work with.
